Actually I would say Vincent is correct to use "an".
If you speak out his sentence as written it flows, but if you do it with
"a" you introduce a small stumble with "a http": doesn't flow.
Since the "word" https would be spoken spelled out (e.g. phonetically
"aitch tee ...") there is a vowel sound at the start and thus it should
be "an".
I would also write "an ftp" or "an l" since these are spoken as "an eff
tee pee" and "an ell". But "a g" since this is spoken as "a gee".
For a slightly different reason "an hotel" and "an hour" are correct
since the h is mute.
