Thanks for getting back to me on this. I have to admit I couldn't see a
pattern -- at first it seemed to be just the last 16 revisions, but the
dates of the last revisions in the old branch didn't appear to appear in
the new branch. In the event I got frustrated, deleted the old branch
and new branch from my server and Launchpad, and restarted work on a
brand new new branch. This branch is completely consistent with the Git
clone so it seems there is nothing wrong with this one.
Before taking the new, new branch I removed all the metadata about the
old Subversion repository and the new Subversion repository so as to
ensure bzr-svn was working with a clean slate.
I would have to go back to my backups to get the branch back now --
which can be done but may not be worth it.
My hypothesis -- which is basically untestable now :-( -- is that having
a URL with two different Subversion repository identity keys causes some
problems for the bzr-svn metadata cache and thence problems for the
branch. It seems that if a Subversion repository changes its identity
key then bzr-svn should completely flush all metadata.
