I just finished building the 1.10 binaries for win32. It took a bit to
get working, so I figured I would comment on it:
1) Jelmer's change to build_release.py actually broke it, because he
forgot to pass a parameter. I also updated the various versions that we
use to build the release, which is now attached. (I went ahead and
submitted it.)
2) I just hard-coded the hostname => IP address in the "hosts" file
(C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts). Which means that the machine is
usable-for-now.
3) There are some specific bugs in the tortoise bzr portion of our build
process in the 1.10 branch. I don't completely understand, but:
a) It seems to be looking for files in "tortoisebzr\Scripts\*" when
the directory is "tortoisebzr\scripts". It generally works, but it
seems wrong to have them mismatched.
b) I only noticed because it is looking for "Scripts\tbzrtest.py"
which doesn't exist anymore.
4) You now need to run "python setup.py build" in the tortoise location
before you do the install work. We should capture that in the
build_release.py script.
However, because of the problems in (3) I went ahead and reverted
tbzr to just before the c extensions (rev 129). We should make sure
things are working properly for the 1.11 release.
