[MERGE] Implement copy_tree on copy_tree_to_transport

Hi all,

This patch is a refactoring that extracts
Transport.copy_tree_to_transport from Transport.copy_tree.

copy_tree_to_transport makes it very easy to mirror a directory tree
from one machine to another.  I've just added a mirror command to
hitchhiker, and I had to do it by copying and pasting this code.
