Bazaar conference presentation

Hello,
I just wanted to give a quick report to let people know I'd delivered a
presentation on Bazaar at Ontario Linux Fest this weekend. Although I'm
horrible at counting crowds I think there may have been about 40 people
at the talk.
The presentation was a very basic overview of why I use Bazaar along
with the few simple commands that are needed to use version control on
ones own machine. I didn't talk at all in the presentation about how to
use Bazaar in a network environment (nor did the description say that I
was going to). The slides are available from slideshare.net:

I've updated the slides a little bit to include some explanations around
the photo-only slides and to add in the "push" command (with a link to
the full documentation). I'm happy to provide a generic version of these
slides under a less restricted license if it would be of interest (or of
use) to the project.
After I'd given the quick overview I opened the talk up to the floor. In
addition to the usual QA time I asked people to describe their current
workflow and to get suggestions on how Bazaar might work for them (e.g.
lots of people using CVS and need to keep the central repository model).
The discussion was fantastic! Lots of people carried on the conversation
outside of the session as well and I expect a number of people will give
it a try.
I think the format of doing a very basic introduction and then having
the network/workflow information as a discussion really worked well. If
you have a LUG or a LoCo or a conference coming up I recommend using
this format to get people engaged and thinking about how they could
implement Bazaar. It encourages people to see how Bazaar could help
*them* instead of just seeing how it worked for someone else.
regards,
emma
