This is exactly the use case I use it for -- trivial experimentation
where commit is not needed but you can compare with the base (saves lots
of melding).

And the worst and bloodiest wars are fought over the smallest
differences. Large differences led to less bloodshed since it is easier
to decide which tribe to join. So in this case the CVCS vs DVCS
argument is easy to decide, but the Mercurial/Bazaar/Git is a much
harder choice.
