[MERGE] Switch nick too

I do.  Because a checkout ISN'T "freedom loving".  The whole point of
a checkout is that you're not making a new branch, you're using an
existing one.  If you want a different nick, that means you want a
different branch, and if you want a different branch, you don't want a
checkout.
