No there's nothing wrong with bzr.dev

Your problem is that you're running an out of date version of bzrtools.

If it's more than a version out of date, it just plain won't run,
because there may be API skew.  bzrtools printed a message:
"Plugin "Bzrtools" is not up to date with installed Bazaar version
1.8dev.
There should be a newer version of Bzrtools available, e.g. 1.8."

When you get that message, you should update bzrtools.  If you don't
want to update bzrtools, then you should use released packages of bzr
and bzrtools.
