Lost the work of a month? :(

This kind of thing happening makes me wonder if the UI is wrong on
Bazaar for this. I would expect the revert to take me back to the same
state as before I did the update command not to make it difficult for
me to get back to where I was and give me a heart attack in the
process thinking that all my work is lost.
I'm not sure how to fix this but I think it is definitely wrong how it
is...
