Speaking of which, there is a 'merge directives' merge request on the
mailing list.  Any feedback you can give me on it will reduce the
amount of Robert's limited time that will have to be spent on it
before it is ready. :)

That said, I'll have a look at what's going on with the looms tomorrow.
