I have past experiences compiling Python on a binary distro. It was
always lacking some major module, like bz2 or readline. I'm interested
in Python 2.6 and 3.0, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

One day, I'll start looking at the bugs tagged as easy or trivial. I
swear. Maybe. ;-)
