Diff and log options to ignore locks?

Have you tried "bzr ci --show-diff"  ?

$ bzr help ci
Purpose: Commit changes into a new revision.
Usage:   bzr commit [SELECTED...]
[...]
  --show-diff           When no message is supplied, show the diff along with
                        the status summary in the message editor.
[...]
