My error.  I had relied on recollection and not recorded history.  It
seems I had only ever tried other repositories when bzr-dbus was
unloaded.  I have now definitely shown that other repositories are
affected.  So it is a machine-wide thing.

This is good as it now aligns with expectation.  Apologies for trying to
claim otherwise.

It appears to be exactly the case.
