[MERGE] minor doc clarification for decentralized with shared-mainline

This is just a small doc update. I was discussing with someone on IRC, and it
was unclear how to set this up.

I'm a bit mixed on this documentation. I'd *like* to at least give an example of
how you would set it up, etc. However, all of these sub-chapters seem to be
short, and they are given very early on. So it doesn't seem like the place to go
into an in-depth discussion.

Anyway, I think this helps a bit with clarification. I would be interested to
know where we can put the "meat" of different workflows.
