It's true.  However, some of the causes are known (look for a
conversation between me and Robert Collins in this list last month or
early this month, he has a post explaining the known issues), and a
lot of work is already in progress (see patches by Robert and by John
Meinel posted recently).  Sorry for not giving URLs but it's time for
bed, and I've got some deadlines to meet tomorrow and Friday ....
