| While bzr isn't really involved in GSoC this year, I believe some kind
| of mentoring/help
| wouldn't be of problem. In particular, I am sure that the #bzr folks
| would be glad
| to help. On the other side, during the 2006 I mentored a student working on
| bzr-gedit integration, so I might be available as well ... I might
| still remember
| a thing or two :)

I don't believe we are officially part of GSoC, though I think Martin has
mentioned that Canonical is interested in sponsoring students to do some work
directly. You can contact him for more info if you want
(martin.pool at canonical.com). I think the reason is that generally we have had
only moderate success with GSoC, and much better success with direct sponsoring.
~ (I'm guessing that you get a wider range of people through GSoC, and some don't
really know the project but just want to do some summer work. Versus people
actively interested in the project first, and getting paid is secondary.)
