I started work on such a plugin last year, and I didn't have the time
to finish it nor publish the code. As I don't want that effort to be
wasted or duplicated, I'm attaching it as a tarball, until I have time
to resume work on it.

The approach taken by my plugin is not exactly the same. It is a
sidebar which lists all the files present in a branch (with a flat
folder view like Eclipse's java package view).

The main idea is that when a file in a branch is opened, the branch is
recognized as some kind of "project". It also offers filename
filtering (for big projects) and diff viewing (with the "this file has
modifications : [show] [commit]" bar on the bottom of the status bar
when the tree has modifications). All of the other ui elements are
stubs for now.

Cheers,

Rached
