bzr upgrade madness

Hi all,

I have a bzr branch that was created from a GNU Arch repo using
"bzr baz-import-branch". The "bzr info" command gives this:

    Standalone tree (format: dirstate-with-subtree)
    Location:
      branch root: .

but I'm having some weird problems doing "bzr pull" from another
machine over http, so someone suggested I do a "bzr upgrade"
which resulted in:

    starting upgrade of file:///home/erikd/Bzr/fsmtpd-mdev/
    making backup of tree history
    file:///home/erikd/Bzr/fsmtpd-mdev/.bzr has been backed up
    to file:///home/erikd/Bzr/fsmtpd-mdev/.bzr.backup
if conversion fails, you can move this directory back to .bzr
if it succeeds, you can remove this directory if you wish
    starting repository conversion
bzr: ERROR: Cannot convert to format <RepositoryFormatKnitPack1>.
Does not support rich root data.

Any ideas on how to move forward on this?

Erik
