RFC: alias and unalias command

I don't have any specific evidence, just a vague recollection that =
is sometimes changed to a space by the Windows shell.  (Which sounds
bizarre, but there's a lot of strangeness in that area.)  If I am
incorrect and it's not a problem, that's great.
