inventory.revision_id

I'm not clear what the inventory's revision_id does for us...

If its for checking we got what we asked for, the revision inventory
validator exists and we can/should use that.

If its for checking the cached version on disk in working trees, thats
fine but why have it in the repository?

I'm asking to help me decide if I should put a version: header in the
journalled inventory fragments; having the version outside seems
completely fine to me, but then I don't recall why we have this :)

Either way, the public API won't change; this is just about
serialisation.
