[MERGE] InterDifferingSerializer shows a progress bar

Hi all,

Here's a that adds a progress bar to InterDifferingSerializer.  This
differs from Lukáš' version in two ways:

1. It has the kind of tests I had asked him to add
2. It makes the progress bar a parameter to install_revisions, which is
   more reusable.  I also think it's good to avoid putting things that
   need to be finalized into iterators.
