Packs have landed. Early user testing has shaken out some bugs, as
you would expect, but on the whole it looks great.
My goal is to make an rc tonight.
We need some user documentation about packs - how to upgrade, caveats,
etc. igc is doing that now.
Here are some of the things still wanting merge:
http://bundlebuggy.aaronbentley.com/request/%3C20071025002954.GA18766@steerpike.home.puzzling.org%3E
(spiv) Fix bug 155730: force file versions with unreferenced
parents to be stored as fulltexts."
needs to be merged to allow interoperation with packs; I'm going to
read it after this mail
http://bundlebuggy.aaronbentley.com/request/%3C1193265741.7511.3.camel@lifeless-64%3E
(robertc) Fix one cause of poor commit performance with thousands
of deleted paths
Would be nice; not reviewed yet; pretty small.
http://bundlebuggy.aaronbentley.com/request/%3Cm28x5tyj89.fsf@free.fr%3E
(vila) Authentication ring implementation (read-only)
This would be really nice but sadly I probably cannot read it in
time. We should
at least land it right afterwards.
http://bundlebuggy.aaronbentley.com/request/%3C471ECC7A.40701@internode.on.net%3E
(igc) Clean errors on ssh disconnects; small cleanups and should land soon.
(I'm bored of pasting urls)
(mbp) knitpack format docs
Alexander and others asked good questions; I'll update and repost
but it need not
block release.
(mbp) unlock in a write group should abort the write group
Approved, will merge.
(igc) Rename packs.
In merge.
(mbp) Faster knit extraction and better errors.
Trivial, but may have already merged (untracked
There are some other things approved and unmerged or conditionally approved, but
I think this is all that hangs on the release.
