Yeah, considering that *I'm* the one who filed the original bug, you would
think I would remember that.

The bug actually changed, though. Because the error started happening in a
different place.

It would be nice if "XMLRPC=http://xmlrpc.edge.launchpad.net" worked like
xmlrpc.staging in that it tells you "you need to use https".
And it seems reasonable to have a plain xmlrpc.launchpad.net tell you that you
really should be using https://xmlrpc.edge....

Though honestly I don't really see why you couldn't just use
xmlrpc.launchpad.net. I guess it is because the redirect is being done to
early? (so it doesn't realize that you are using xmlrpc?)
