why tag doesn't need commit ?

Thank God, I have started forgetting how CVS works! :-)

I don't really know why I even brought that up, I don't consider ever
having used CVS a merit anymore.

Rebrand me as a Subversion user, then turn a blind eye to all words
matching CVS and please reconsider my first post.
