Newbie has a problem with shared repos

Hello!

I use bazaar 0.90.0 with Python 2.4.3 on a GNU/Linux box.

I have some problem with shared repositories. I create such
repositories with

  $ bzr init-repo /path/to/repo

and then, when I want to check this repo status with

  $ bzr status

all I get is:

  "bzr: ERROR: No WorkingTree exists for
  file:///home/tpj/tmp/test/bzr/project/.bzr/checkout/."

And for

  $ bzr add

I get the same response.


What am I doing wrong? (When I create a repository with "bzr init",
all works well.)
