Gnome discussions about DVCS

I don't know if you have seen this, but there are discussions about
gnome going DVCS. They are mostly talking about git, but it's still
interesting.

One thing I like most of all is this comment, from
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/foundation-list/2007-September/msg00043.html

---
Git is not SVN. On the Bugzilla account, I started out with:
  alias cvs='svn'
because I wanted to prevent someone typing in the wrong commands. It is
pretty similar (CVS/SVN commands). There is no need for me to learn a
D-SCM. I'm perfectly happy if git commit would first try to commit
remotely, and if that fails, locally. That is the kind of D-SCM I'd
like (probably pretty unique in that).
---

This is something that I think only bzr can do.

Regards,
Erik
