[MERGE] remove deltas from pull -v output

Hi all,

In revno 2570, deltas were added for merged logs in log -v output.  This
had a side effect of adding deltas to pull -v output.  This makes pull
- -v much slower, and is not what I want from pull -v.  I just want to see
the log messages.  If people want to see deltas from pull, we should
look at supporting pull -vv or --show-deltas or something.

So this patch disables deltas in pull -v output.  In also has some
drive-by fixups for long lines and outdated comments.
