That sounds good to me.  It would mean we could finally do clean reverts
if --no-backup was used.

I'd actually be inclined to store the backups in a container, to reduce
the amount of cruft that builds up in the tree.

e.g. with see-also in "add" and "revert"?

Is this meant to be the current behavior?  Or does it also include
automatically-added files?  Symlinks?  I guess I don't really see the
need for this, given 1.
