The way I wrote it is the way bzr writes it. (See bzr help checkout,
for example.) I think it's important for you to be able to decode that.
Personally, I find the second form less pleasing, but if people want to
switch bzr to use it, that's okay with me. Until then, I think the
first form is a better choice.
