[RFC] 0.18 planning

All,

Any thoughts on 0.18 yet? Unless there is widespread resistance to the
idea, I'd like to see us continuing to stabilize and package on a
regular basis. As well as delivering incremental quality and functional
improvements, spreading the performance work out over a few releases
ought to reduce the risk of the larger changes as well.

I'm happy to play Release Manager/Coordinator again. I'm equally happy
for someone else to do it. If you're keen, speak up.

Either way, here are some dates I'd like to suggest. To ensure maximum
input from developers at the key decision times regardless of timezone,
it was felt that Tuesdays work better than Mondays, thus:

1. June 12 - Trunk open
2. July 03 - Feature Freeze
3. July 10 - Release Candidate
4. July 17 - Ship
