[MERGE][Bug #111958] tests fail if BZR_REMOTE_PATH is set

Hi,

Attached is a bundle fixing the above bug.  In the bug, two possible
methods of fixing it are outlined, adding it to the list of environment
variables which are cleared at the start of the test suite or protecting
individual tests as needed.  I have opted for the latter.  If the former
would be preferred, I'm more than happy to create the fix for that
(which is all of one line).

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being as
helpful as you have been, it's certainly encouraged me to continue
contributing.
