To me, they mean different things in different dimensions. "Easy" is
a statement about the effort or time required to accomplish something;
"trivial" is a statement about how invasive or complex (or maybe
controversial) accomplishing it is. Most things that are trivial are
probably easy, but the reverse isn't true.
