Somewhat related to this, parallel imports, and the idea in general,
is that it leaves us a way to say post-facto "this add'd file here is
really that rm'd file there".  Users of other VCSen who use that as a
standard pattern, or new VCS users, could do things like that, that it
would be nice to be able to handle.  It also can come up when you're
building up history by importing tarballs, and files upstream have
moved.
