[MERGE] selftest improvement: numbered dirs for TestCaseInTempDir

This weekend I spend to fix win32-related problem in selftest. I don't finish yet and I need
numbered dirs to finish my work.

And because no one complain about making it default for all
platforms: here is the patch.

Number of test is shown in verbose mode for all tests,
and in non-verbose mode only for errors/failing cases.

I need this patch too much, because it at one stroke kill some old hanging problems with selftesting
on win32.
