I'm talking rubbish again - I knew it couldn't be that easy.
The './*' only works for some cases - adding complete directories.
If I add one file from a directory then bzr adds the directory and
then reports all files in the directory as unknown.

e.g.
bzr add /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/local

Now all files in the logcheck and ignore.d.server directories are
reported as unknown in the status.

If you can suggest a generic ignore pattern that will handle that,
while still allowing me to add complete directories, then I'll be
happy. Otherwise I'd like the --versioned option to be added to status.

Cheers,
Kent.
