Question about capturing versions

The simplest way is to just branch a new version when you want to 
snapshot and remember never to commit to the branched version (so that 
it remains a snapshot).

Alternatively, you can use the tags plugin, or wait for proper tags 
support (should be in next version I believe), or manually write down 
the revision id of the snapshot point and keep track of it somewhere....
