If possible, you should configure your email client to set the mime
encoding of the attachment to text. That makes it easy to review the
changes using just the email viewer, rather than having to save the
file, and open it up in a separate editor.

I'm not sure how to make gmail do that. The normal way *we* do it is to
use a common extension like .patch, .diff, or even .txt.

That said, you have my +1 for this to be merged. And as it is a simple
documentation fix, I'll go ahead and put it in the queue.
