Well, its stable in a branch, but alters when revisions move branches,
so its not stable *for a revision*.
I think a cache of some sort in a branch might work well.
I'm also thinking that we may want an object to represent a revision *in
a branch* - such an object would have a .revno attribute, unlike a
revision *in the repository cloud*, which cannot have such an attribute.
