And stuff like the updated XML writer, which help a lot of performance
cases wasn't officially spec'd. It had been sitting around for a while.
(I had implemented it a couple times in various ways, Robert
re-implemented it. And then I cleaned up his work to be fully
compatible, and we finally got it into the core :)
