If you want only the git-style of the web page ( ie. colors, font, borders.... ) you can change only the file webserve/templates/headers.tmpl which contains the css stylesheet.
If you want the git-organization of the web page ( ie. where the log appears, where the autor appears ), you have to change also the other templates, and small amount of code.
Event tough webserve is a derived code of hgweb, now the two product are very different; webserve has functionality that hgweb doesn't have ( as diff between arbitrary revision .... ).
I repeat, if anyone would write a git style template, I can help him on the code side, but I don't have time to spend for the html.
