The goal is to have the functionality. If it requires using release
series, then we'll do that. I already tried to create a release series
for 0.9, so that we could mark bugs that we want to fix for a potential
0.9.1 release. However the 0.9.1 milestone shows up in Trunk rather than
in the release series, and I didn't find any way to set a bug for the
release series. I assume the functionality just isn't there yet.
Basically, I want to be able to say "Exists but not fixing in 0.9, fixed
in 0.10". Anything that we need to do to enable this, I'm okay with.
Milestones really only let you mark where it was fixed or plans on being
fixed.
On IRC sabdfl said that the request was more the idea of 'infestations'.
So it sounds like it has been thought of.
