Your changes look fine.  +1

I think our handling of commandline parameters is due for an overhaul,
but until then, this plugs regression in diff.

I presume there are other commands that should support revno:x:y in a
non-tree/branch eventually, and it would be best to have a uniform way
of determining files/trees/branches/revisions all at once.
