HEADSUP: encoding branch landed, branches.conf will be confused

The encoding branch was landed during the recent sprint here in London.
As a result the branches.conf file no longer finds your config:

you need to change
[/home/...]

to
[file:///home/...]


because of this.

I think this should be considered a bug and corrected before releasing
0.9 (that is, treat /home/... as a utf8 encoded local file path).
