Quite a few people have commented that "I'd use hg if bzr didn't exist" or
vice versa, or "I wish I could just have the best bits from both". Well, we're
going to see if we can do something about that.
Canonical (the corporate parent of bzr and Ubuntu) is hosting a sprint in
London in early June to bring together some of the core developers from bzr
and hg, to see if we can better cooperate. Aaron, John, Robert and I are
going, and (I think) Bryan O'Sullivan, Matt Mackall, Benoit Boissinot, and
Thomas Arendsen Hein from hg.
We'll post some notes after the meeting. I'm making notes from the recent
threads with comparisons but if there's anything else people want to raise
just mention it here.
If any other bzr users or developers would like to meet up in London
between the 1st and 8th of June, please let me know and we'll try to
coordinate a time.
I am not sure what will come out of this but it should be interesting.
