I agree; I think even for users who don't have time to read the list
it's good for their questions to go here (with them cc'd on
replies). Most questions are things that developers want to read and
respond to. I think the time to split is when user-oriented ("how
do I") questions are actively cluttering the development list *and*
there is a community of users who want to be subscribed and answer
those questions.
There's room for some kind of news with a few posts per week,
summarising changes without showing all of the details. Ideally
- anyone who wants to make a summary can post it
- discussion comes back onto this list
- it's easy to make ad-hoc summaries - I think a problem with
things like Traffic is that it requires one particular person to make
the summary each week, and it's easy for life to get in the way
- people can subscribe just to this
There are a few possibilities:
- a separate mailing list
- a group blog
- a wiki news page
- a planet aggregator of various blogs
On the whole setting up planet.bazaar-vcs.org might be best? We can
include bazaar-related (or all?) articles from anyone's blog.
