[MERGE] make workingtree.branch readonly

The branch attribute in working tree is currently read-write, but it
should not be: A working tree's branch is dependent on whats on disk,
not on arbitrary object construction.

This patch makes the attribute a property with a getter and a docstring
but no setter or deleter.
