About a billion tests failed when I tried this yesterday, but I lost  
the results when my laptop crashed.  I think a lot of them were just  
some new API calls that haven't been fixed up because they didn't  
exist when jam last worked on it.

I wish I'd been following that branch more closely because the fix is  
probably obvious to someone who knows what's going on.  I'll re-run  
the tests and poke it with a pointy stick to see if I can get any  
signs of life.
