[MERGE] faster tsort, ancestry corruption detection, reconcile to fix it, and fetch to not trigger said corruption

They had reconcile and a unconsolidated tsort only, this has all the
other changes I enumerated - the forced checking of revisions, the
replacement of the tsort routine, the altering of fetch to ensure
consistency.

So yes its more extensively different - different enough that the +1
can't really be stretched. Waiting for Martin is fine, I do want his
input on the tsort replacement anyway.
