Aiee! That just digs us deeper into the hole of conflating "a branch"
with "a working dir containing that branch". jblack should smack you
for encouraging me to start on that again :-P
Yes, that would be one option. But it doesn't help when I don't have
that branch checked out... I should do a rollup email.
