I think it's a pretty easy distinction to grasp, though. Anyhow, my
point was only that it's not arbitrary-- the left-parent ancestry has a
very specific meaning.
Anyhow, I think this is way offtopic, because all John wants is the
ability to show a single, arbitrary log using the log command. Verbose
was not mentioned, but it could *always* be the lefthand parent, for all
I care. (i.e. I never use verbose.)
